This page contains answers to common questions asked by costumers, along with some tips and tricks that we have found useful and presented here as questions. Please feel free to E-mail me with any questions,comments or special requests at slms34@optonline.net
- First find the photos you want to have made into a portrait.( Please send clear photos since the portrait can only be as good as the photo.)
- You can email the photos for me to look at , I do not charge to look at and assess your photos.
- You can also send photo(s) via US mail ( email me for my mailing address ).
- Decide on what type of portrait you'd like, size, amount of people etc, and tell me any special instructions you may have such as background color etc.
- I may email you back with my own questions such as: color of eyes etc. to make sure your portrait will be exactly what you want.
- Before starting on a portrait I require a 40% deposit.( GO TO PAYMENT )You can pay through US mail ( by check or money order), or pay through email using the Pay Pal service.( check money order or credit cards excepted )
- Once I start working on your portrait I will send you photos of the portrait in process via email. At that time you may comment on drawings, and let me know if there is anything you think needs changing. Upon your approval of the final drawing I will expect the rest of your payment. When final payment is received, I will then ship your portrait to you. Any photos I have received will be returned with your portrait.
- All drawings will be shipped in tubes ( to prevent folds or wrinkles)

I put my heart and soul into each portrait I make. Creating a high quality work of art does take time however. I will start your portrait, as soon as I have received your photo(s) and 40% deposit. I will notify you when I have received them. I like to have about 2 weeks from that time to create a pencil portrait, 3 weeks for charcoal, and pastels.

When do I pay ?
I request a deposit of 40% of the full price, before stating a portrait. Upon your approval of the finished portrait. I expect full payment. After receiving the full payment I will ship your finished painting.

If you contact me within two weeks that you are not fully satisfied with your portrait, I will be happy to make changes in your portrait at that time. I want you to be satisfied with your final piece of art. If you would rather just exchange your portrait and get a full refund. I will also be happy to return your money . I do not want to have unsatisfied customers. After that two week period the 40% deposit is non refundable, but the rest of the balance will be returned to you.

I accept payments online through the Pay Pal service. PayPal allows any individual or business with an email address to securely, send payments online. You can read more about Pay Pal security issues here.
I never see any of the information they collect, such as credit card number etc.The only information I see is the address you want your painting to be delivered to.

I have prices listed for up to three people in one portrait. If you would like to know the price for more you can contact me by email and ask. I will then give you a price quote.

You can send your photos through email. I do not charge to look at the photos. Or if you prefer to send them by US mail, e-mail me to let me know and I will send you my mailing address. I will return them to you with your finished portrait.

Can you use separate photos of each person to create a multiple person portrait?
For 2 (or more ) person portraits- you may send one photo of two people or two separate photos. Conformation will be sent to you when photos are received.

Will I get my photos back?
Photos will be sent back to you with Artwork.

Yes, I can do a portrait of your pet . Pets are people too. The price would be the same as for a person.
